- What is the brand of these bbq pits and smokers?
The pits with "TL" in front of the model number are made by
"Texas Longhorn" in Texas.
- What are my shipping options?
We have several options regarding shipping. First, you can pick up your pit at our store once it is complete to your specifications. We have had some clients fly in , rent a vehicle and drive their pit to its new home.
Second, we offer a shipping service. The cost varies depending your location and the level of difficulty to get to your location. The best way to discuss shipping is person to person. Call us at 512-413-4995 to discuss your shipping options.
- Why can't I order online?
The reason we do not take online orders is because of all the specifics involved when ordering a bbq pit, from shipping questions to customizing the pit. We feel a more personal approach is the best way.
- How long does it take to get out pit once it has been ordered?
Delivery time depends upon how many orders are in front of yours and what model and specifics you have ordered. Usually, an average of 2 weeks for a standard order once we receive the deposit.
- What other sizes and models are available?
We can custom build any size pit you desire. We carry the smaller grills and smokers that are not on trailers, but, because of shipping expense, we concentrate on the larger portable models. Again, we can customize any portable or non portable pit you design.
- What does the lifetime warranty cover?
The lifetime warranty covers burnout on the pit if properly maintained. Proper maintenance includes keeping the pit cleaned out when not in use, keeping all lids and doors closed when not in use, and keeping the pit covered when not in use. If the pit does ever burn through, it will be replaced by Texas Longhorn at no charge. The warranty does not cover the trailer
- What are my payment options?
We accept cashiers checks, personal checks, and money orders as well as Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
- Is a deposit required?
A deposit is required when the pit is ordered. To keep our prices down to you, we don't make the pit until you order it. Therefore, a good-faith deposit is required at the time of the order.
- Are these pits gas burning or wood/charcoal burning?
The pits are designed for wood or charcoal.
- What type of material are the pits made?
These pits are made of round, 250 wall steel (1/4 inch steel). They are made from all new materials. The trailers are mounted on 3500 pound axels with 15" wheels, new tires, and a bull-nose hitch. It comes wired with lights.
